AGES: 8-15
DURATION: 3-5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday plus Friday races, three, four, or seven week sessions
PREREQUISITES:  Opti Learn to Race or equivalent or instructor recommendation, interest in racing and competing

The Opti Race Team is a summer program designed for young sailors who are interested in racing and competing in regattas. Emphasis is on having fun in a competitive atmosphere while building racing skills and preparing for regattas. Coaches will teach advanced boat-handling techniques, tactics, and physical fitness while stressing the importance of sportsmanship. 

The Opti Race Team will represent White Bear Lake in Twin Cities Youth Sailing (TCYS) Regattas on many Fridays on lakes throughout the Twin Cities (schedule may be found here) as well as at regattas across the Midwest. Registration includes coaching during classes and at all TCYS events. 

What to bring? 
All sailors need to bring a lifejacket, sunscreen, towel, and change of clothes. Shoes must be closed-backed (no flip-flops). 

Sailors must provide their own boat or charter one for regattas through White Bear Sailing School for a nominal fee. Please email sailwbss@gmail.com for more information.
